Who we are and what this notice covers

This website, clinic.opticstrainer.com, is run by Optics Trainer LLC. This notice covers personal information collected through this website only.

The Optics Trainer apps and our other services are covered by our main Privacy Policy. Patient and clinic data entered in the Optics Tracker portal (tracker.opticstrainer.com) is not covered by this notice. It is handled under our main Privacy Policy and your organization's agreement with us. Contact us for details.

Newsletter signups and sample report requests

When you sign up for Clinical & Professional Updates, or request a sample report by email, we collect your email address, your consent, the newsletter you chose and, for report requests, which sample report you asked for. We send a confirmation email first, and you are only subscribed once you confirm.

To prevent abuse of the form, we also store a one-way keyed hash of your IP address and browser user-agent with the request, not the IP address itself.

Advertising measurement (Google Ads)

This website shows no ads. It loads the Google Ads tag (gtag.js) so that we can measure visits and actions that come from our own Google Ads campaigns. The tag receives page views, including the page address and referring page, and clicks on links such as “Contact us for a demo”.

Google may set cookies, and may use this information under its own policies, including to build audiences for our ads. You can control ad personalization in Google's My Ad Center (myadcenter.google.com). Google explains how it uses information from websites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Hosting and email

Vercel hosts this website and keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. If you email us, for example through a demo link, we receive your message and email address and use them to reply.

How we use it

We use this information to send the newsletter and report links you asked for, to answer your messages, to measure our advertising, and to keep the website and forms secure. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

Supabase stores newsletter subscription records (supabase.com/privacy). Resend delivers our emails (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy). Vercel hosts the website (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy). Google provides advertising measurement (policies.google.com/privacy).

How long we keep it

We keep your subscription record while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address marked as unsubscribed so that we don't email you again. To have it deleted completely, email contact@opticstrainer.com. Google and Vercel keep their data under their own retention settings.

Your choices

Use the unsubscribe or preferences link in any of our emails to stop receiving them. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email contact@opticstrainer.com.

Children

This website is for eye care and vision professionals and is not directed at children.
